If I could, I would give it 3.5 stars. The experience was somewhere between middling and good. I don't recall our exact orders now. There was a poke that was excellent. My son ordered a sushi roll that was good too. There was a choice of soup or salad with some entrees. I took the salad which came overdressed. So you may want to ask for dressing on the side. My son found the soup bland, but his sister devoured it. The teppanyaki experience was okay. The chef was friendly, but didn't seem fully engaged in the social experience.
Food was amazing, service on point. Ask for Bianca, she will take care of you. Gotta try the sushi bombs, wagyu beef & takara hibachi. All delicious!
This has to be one of the best hibachi places in Houston. The service is outstanding. From the hostess, to the server, to the hibachi chef was super friendly and put on a great show. The food is very very good. Their cuts of meat, chicken and fish are tasty and fresh. I personally had the fillet mignon, medium well, and it was the caliber of a five star steakhouse but nowhere near that price. I also had the salmon which was tasty and fresh. The hibachi chef even gave everyone at the table with two very good pieces of shrimp cooked to perfection. The portions are pretty good; if you are a light eater it’s definitely enough for two people to share. The onion soup was a perfect combination of spice and sour. I would highly recommend this place.
If you are looking for definitive, exciting and original sushi and hibachi. When you are looking for an original experience that is truly catering to their clients, this is the place. Not only an amazing selection of cold and hot Sake but the owner will take the time to educate his clientele in what makes great sushi. And it's not just fish on rice. There is a great open feel with 13 Hibachi table grills and a great modern design. The first real Wagyu I have eaten here in the states. A Texas made version of the famous Kobi beef. With an 80% meat 20% marble. An amazing dining experience where you can learn if you want, and just eat if you like that too. Great location. Super cool staff and owner. With an awesome Japanese Peruvian infused cuisine.
Love the new look. I think they have the best fried rice in town. Food quality is always good. Ask for Bianca as waitress on weekends. Ask for Saul for chef. Highly recommended.
