The Cedar

I give them 5 stars for location on the water and for the look of the interior. The front facade isn't as inviting as the inside which is really nice and clean. Many people have told me they drive that road daily and didn't even know there was a restaurant there. lol. You can sit outside and enjoy the ducks on the lake and there's a playground for the kids which is cool. I'd give them 4 stars for quality of the food which always tastes good even though their menu isn't all that healthy (need more veggies) . I give them 3 stars on price/value. The prices are high (comparable to Red Lobster) since you have to serve and seat yourself like at fast food restaurants. When I go out to eat, I want to be waited on, it's what I am paying for. I want someone to bring me my food and drink refills while I relax after a long week at work. If I wanted to serve myself I'd go to McDonalds or stay home. I was very disappointed to see they were allowing a balloon release on the back patio for some memorial that was going on. That is extremely bad for the environment and the wildlife in and on the lake and for that I give them 1 star for management not forbidding that action. The Cedar is and always has been an asset to the community and with a few tweaks could be even better.

Used to be our favorite seafood restaurant. It is not the same place. Very disappointed. Everything was catered to being cheap, plastic forks, paper or plastic containers, no cup lids. Unfortunately my favorite seafood Restaurant has turned into a fast food restaurant. I couldn't believe the salad in a plastic container and mostly lettuce with 2 small tomatoes and dressing in a pkg. We wont go back. And No senior menu. The menu is nothing like before. The things my husband used to order is not even on the menu anymore.

Great service and food! We were just passing through and decided to stop in- Awesome decision! Sat outside on the Lake, enjoyed the view, and a delicious local beer! Also filled with inviting faces!

Excellent Cat Fish for sure, the sidewinder fries are really good also. My husband was not impressed with the hamburger, he said the meat lacked flavor and tasted like a processed meat patty. The ambiance is nice clean, smells like fresh wood inside. The bartender did a great job with my husband's drink, he loved it. The place is very casual!
