The Don'Key Mexican Food

This is a Pasadena tradition. People love this restaurant. They have many bi lingual employees and people who dont speak English are catered to by the management. The food is outstanding TEX MEX . I seriously eat there every time I am in the area.

One of my top Mexican food restaurants in Houston. Food is solid always great. The margaritas are well potent! If you've been here you know it's a gem if not you need to get here and enjoy your new favorite.

Excellent atmosphere and delicious food. The staff ate friendly and very courteous.
It's been there for years and only gets better with time. You must go at least once.

The Don'Key is a local favorite. They're always packed on weekends, but the service is fast and great.

Food is pretty typical Tex Mex, but they do make their own tortillas which is nice. Prices are in the $12-$15 a plate for dinner.

The main attraction here are the cheap yet curiously strong margaritas. Go during happy hour on a weekday and they're $4.

Tuesday evening was a good time to eat there. It wasn't crowded & there was no wait for a table. As always the enchiladas were delicious & the don'key margarita was yummy. I only allow myself 1. The wait staff is attentive. Management comes by the table to be sure we are satisfied with our meal & service.
The ambience is typical Mexican restaurant decor. There are 2 nice patios. The only down side is that the indoor tables are rather close together & when the restaurant is crowded it is a bit difficult to get around. Rest room is kept clean. Great place for great Tex-Mex food.
