My fam recommended this place so I checked it out. My wife and kids had the stuffed baked potato which they enjoyed. My youngest had a burger that he thought was really good and I had a turkey leg with no flavor. It was very tender and juicy but no flavor. I think maybe I just got a dud. Will try it again in the future.
First time eating here! I love this place. It has such a sweet family vibe and I immediately felt welcome. My brisket is literally falling apart. Cole slaw is soooo creamy and my potato salad is to die for. I want seconds! Staff were attentive and friendly. Definitely will be stopping by offen.
Got a loaded baked potato with chopped beef, potatoes was a decent size, very soft and tender. Chopped beef had plenty of flavor, I would buy again. Service was excellent, order at window, grab a seat and someone brings the food to you, even came by to check that everything was good and drink refills.
Traveling this place is hands down the best BBQ I've had, lets hope my Grandma doesn't read this! Cole slaw is creamy and so so tasty. Then to send you over the edge get some banana pudding. Oh my land!!! Amazing service, great food and fantastic all around great experience. If you found this review helpful give us a thumbs up!
Ribs are very delicious & tender. Pulled pork is juicy & delicious. Collard greens & potato salad are delicious. Desserts are outstanding. Especially the blackberry cobbler.
Avoid the beans & brisket though.
Besides having no bark, my brisket was way too dry, forcing me to drown it sauce in order to chew it. No brisket is worth chewing, if you have to drown it in sauce in order to chew it.
I specifically asked for fatty cuts, and did not get what I asked for. And the pinto beans were extremely bland (apparently cooked with no sign of onion, pepper, or spices). Also disappointing, they don't offer baked beans.
Best price in Pasadena. Second best BBQ in town. Ribs are worth returning for. And I greatly enjoyed both the blackberry cobbler and armadillo egg (jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped with both sliced beef & bacon).
