El Tiempo Cantina

Easily the cleanest, most modern El Tiempo of the bunch - and all are great. Tex-Mex staples are done right, and happy hour specials are abundant. Great place to meet up with friends and colleagues after work.

Okay, so the food is really great and the staff is friendly. I would give 5 stars for the food actually. I have two issues, and I’ve attached photos.

1. As I was eating my girls leftovers, a small shard of glass (or extremely hard plastic) stabbed me right behind my tooth. I actually bled ????. I’m not even mad, but my toddlers are 2 and I’m just relieved that I ended up with that bite. Nothing broke at the table so it had to happen in the kitchen. (Was in the rice and beans) Date visited: Friday 3/1/19 around 7:30pm

2. On a different occasion, when we were through eating they started clearing off our table. This is partially my fault because I was talking to my husband and not paying attention. Before I knew it the guys had taken our food and tossed it before I even had a chance to ask for a box. My kids weren’t eating well so the plate was missing only one quesadilla. It was basically the entire meal that we paid for and just planned on taking home for them to eat later. I felt it was odd that they didn’t ask if we wanted it boxed up since it was almost a full meal, but again also my fault for not paying attention.

The staff is very nice and the food is very good. These situations won’t keep us from dining here again, but I felt they needed to be addressed.

Really Really good Mexican food. I will be going back. I had a sirloin fajita steak and it was terrific. It was mesquite smoked flavored and I wish it was ALL U CAN EAT, but not. We sat at the bar. I had a margarita and it was a good one. For the quality food it was low priced. The atmosphere breeds festivity. We found out it is same investors as Ninfa's but they do not sell mole' here. This place would be great for large parties since they have open and closed areas. My service was 2 men on the same team. They did perfect. No one knows why it took 2.5 years to build the place.

I love this place! The food has always been on point and the service is amazing. I absolutely love it when Humberto is working! He is so up beat and attentive!! The atmosphere is lively and clean. management always comes by and checks on us. Like I said the food is delicious!!

I recently tried El Tiempo for the first time and had a great experience. Despite being the busy dinner rush, the service was great. Drinks came promptly and the table was checked on often. I am typically not a huge fajita fan, but they were recommended and were fantastic. I ordered the quarter pound of beef and chicken which was plenty for one. The chicken was super tender and the beef was perfectly cooked. The real kicker is the side of butter-garlic sauce that comes with the order. Dip everything in it. And I mean everything! It is a little bowl of heaven. Plus, the freshly made tortillas are the icing on the cake. Parking at this location can be a little crazy during busy times, so take advantage of the complimentary valet. I will definitely be back to have the fajitas again!
