Big Pines Lodge

Had lunch at Big Pines Lodge after a boat ride that took us to breathtaking parts of Caddo Lake. A real treasure in Texas! Excellent lunch! Ate outdoors overlooking the lake. Perfect weekend! Service was wonderful!

Fried seafood and burgers. Well cooked and the wait staff was terrific. Teresa really took care of us and made sure we had a wonderful event. Other staff came and checked on us. Dogs allowed on patio. We ordered the triple combo- catfish shrimp and tenders. Cooked to perfection.

Love this place , everything tasted great. Took some friends who loved it also. From the fried , grilled catfish to the grilled shrimp we had some and it was all good. Recommend this to anyone

Big nice, very clean and good staff! Basically a fish Restaurant, but advertised as Restaurant and Watering Hole but has sea, fish, steaks, alligator, frog legs and more! I personally had fish, shrimp and fried okra and it was very good! The view is amazing! The good food, drinks and a beautiful River view it's a win anyway you look at it! Highly recommend!!!

I am going to give this place a 5 based on how good it is but also how much they have improved the place over the years. The fried fish is good - not too salty. But try the blackened catfish - it is really good. The sides are good but nothing special - just what you would expect. The rice pilaf is pretty good. Cold beer and good prices on that. This is a great place to go after a long hot day on the lake. And not a better atmosphere can be found in East Texas for eating fried catfish (or blackened).
