RiverBend Restaurant on Caddo Lake

Real catfish. Amazing hushpuppies. Okay beans. The view is just mind blowing. If you have time to hang around and relax after eating, you should!

This is the second time our car club Muscle Mustangs of East Texas drove out for lunch. Excellent service especially considering we showed up unannounced. We had 15 people this time( small for us), yet they were able to quickly seat us and the service was outstanding. Great food as always, this is definitely an annual stop for us.

When we vacation in the area, we treat ourselves to a meal at RiverBend. Wonderful scenery, food, atmosphere, located on Lake Caddo with a seating area over the lake. We had blackened alligator, onion rings, cole slaw, pinto beans, fried shrimp, fried fish, and was so full we couldn't manage dessert.

If you're looking for a nice view this place has it. If you're looking for great wait staff this is the place. I had fried catfish, which was great. However the rest of the food not so great. They do make great beans and coleslaw, which everyone was thankful to have as the other dishes were either over cooked and dry or simply poorly prepared.

Little bit of a wait to get seated, but that's a good sign. Nice view from the dining room overlooking the river. My steak was very well seasoned, cooked just right, and presented well. Waitress was attentive, but not overbearing. My wife and I have been several times, and enjoy taking friends and family to experience this backwoods restaurant.
