Wimberley Valley Winery

The drive to the winery is unique, like a hidden gem among country roads. They have many selections for you to choose. I had hard time deciding which one to try. They are still expanding. Outside facilities look fun with farm, windmill, patio and animals. We didn’t see much activities probably because of Covid or it was too cold in winter. Will come back in Spring.

Always good. They had lost my reservation, but still accommodated my party of 3. I like their wines very much. I particularly liked the 2019 Merlot, with it's tobacco taste. I don't smoke, but I enjoy that hint in a wine. Their Christmas warm wines that I sampled were the spiced and mulled. The spiced had an abundance of alcohol that hit my nose first and cause my head to jerk back. Wasn't expecting that. The mulled was too hot and burned my tongue. Once it cooled down, it was delicious. It's well worth a drive to Wimberley Valley to sample the wines. During this Christmas season, it's especially nice.

So happy we stopped into this winery! We also called ahead to see if we could bring our dog and were pleasantly surprised that we could, even in the tasting room! (But no kids allowed in the tasting room...even better.. ) I don't love sweet wines but still enjoyed all that we tasted. The outdoor area is adorable as well. Would definitely come back!

Amazing staff and amazing wines! We called ahead to see if we could bring our dog and we’re greeted with friendly customer service from the start to finish. All of the staff were very personable and really good at their jobs. Their wines are amazing and they have a good variety for everyone. The building itself is very beautiful!

The tasting was wonderful. The wines are absolutely superb, including their holiday wines. Charlotte was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I loved her personality and talkative nature. If you want a place to relax and have good conversation, this is the place to go!
