Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

A fav place for quality Burgers. everyone at our table was very satisfied. the staff was sociable and attentive. reminds me of a cafe in chicago i liked to visit.

My 2nd review ... Burgers are still the best (5.0 on both) along with the fries. In the past I used the drive-thru which has 2 lanes and is relatively quick compared to other places that make their burgers from scratch -- much faster than Whataburger. I dined inside this time. Loved the old time diner decor and it was constantly being attended to and kept clean by the employees. Also, I was asked twice while seated and eating if everything was good and if I needed anything. There was an oversight in my ( size of my fries) order and when I asked about it their response was to quickly take care of it -- all done with a smile. I encourage anyone that has the time to go inside and savor their food along with the great atmosphere and service.

The burgers here are GREAT ... not just very good .. GREAT! Their shoestring fries are also great and are a nice change-up to the usual type fries elsewhere. The premise was clean and the service was what you hoped it would be.

I'm a veteran and I always get treated like I'm a war hero there. I didn't even go to combat. They treat everyone really well but I feel special when I walk in. I appreciate the military discount, the incredible frozen yogurt and the always personable and courteous staff. ????

It seems that Freddy's lost their zing in their food. Chili cheese fries was ok. It wasn't great, as well as my #1. No one finished their meals!! The worker at the register was rude and I didn't deserve it. She was fine with my mom and daughter, but when it was time for me to order I did not do anything to provoke her. My mom paid with a $100 and it annoyed her, since the last customer also paid with $100 bill. It is always hit or miss on any given day at Freddy's in San Marcos.
