Hat Creek Burger Co.

This was such an unexpected treasure! The playground was why we stopped, but the food will keep us going back. Locally sourced, non GMO, freshly made... I especially loved that everything on the side menu was gluten free-- even their chicken nuggets! The shakes weren't too shabby, either. Yum!!! I'm happy we found it!

Hat Creek is a great family restaurant. It has a playground for the kids to keep them occupied. The burgers are really good. The service is fast and courteous. Great place for the family!

I want to like this place, I’m all for sourcing local and better quality ingredients and wrapping it up in a fast food package.
I’ve given it 3 tries, twice ordering the “grain” burger and once with the little hat burger.

Sometimes I’m on the road and want a fast meatless option, but honestly the grain burger just tastes like a grilled mush patty, no flavor at all.
I could say the same about the beef patty, I like that it is better quality meat, but it tastes completely unseasoned.
The fries, leave something to be desired.
Hat creek heavily relies on extra salt to give the fries some flavor but they just don’t taste great.
I should also mention that the price is a little outrageous. Over $11 for a grain burger and fries, no drink. Take a page out of P-Terry’s book, I can get a more satisfying similar meal there for around $8

3 stars to Hat Creek for trying. Maybe you’ll get it right at some point, but seeing as this is a chain, I wouldn’t hold my breath on fast improvement.

Always great burgers! The kids love to visit and play on the playground. It's hard to tear them away. Great place to bring the family.
