Place was clean and fresh and the food was delicious! The team was super friendly, and even warned us that our food may take a few extra minutes since we came right at opening.
One of the best burger joints in the RGV. This hidden gem 💎 was awesome. They serve old fashion diner burgers. Nice selection of burger choices to choose from as well as build your own. Very clean place and prices are good. Cashier was courteous and offered her suggestions. Will definitely come back over and over again. Will post food pic next time. Could not put burger down lol.
After a long day at work, I was on my way to my hotel and wanted to try something new. So Build a burger was right there close to my hotel. I am glad I stopped. The restrooms were nice and clean, the restaurant was nice and clean. The burger was delicious. Thinking about it it was a burger like burger kings use to have. The prices are comparable to any other burger joint but better.👍
Good burger (Jalapeno Popper Burger, added A1 sauce) ordered as combo to get fries and a drink(22oz). Fries don't stand out and are almost similar to Wingstop's as far as type of fry. Will be back to try other "Already Built Burgers" and chicken wings and tenders.
I went to Build a Burger with my Dad and son (three generations). It is located at 3601 South Closer Boulevard in Edinburg. The decor is definitely laid back and a bit low budget but still works. Dad ordered the kid burger and it comes with fries. My son ordered a build your own, he likes lettuce and guacamole, and a side of garlic aioli fries. I ordered the Jalapeno Popper burger(it comes with two bacon wrapped, cheese filled jalapenos) and a Seattle Hot Dog. I also ordered a side of chili cheese fries and fried pickles to share. I never received the chili cheese fries, another group of customers arrived right after us, so I guess the cooks were to busy to finish my order. The fried pickles were cooked right, but were a little greasy at the bottom where they were sitting in a small pool of oil. The cooks definitely need to learn about draining them before serving them. They do make paper trays and paper towels designed for draining fried food items. But honestly I never needed to use either when I used to cook. My dad said his burger was OK, my son had the same comment. I have to say the same, my pattie kinda of thin and was not juicy. The Seattle Hot dog was pretty good, juicy sausage covered in cream cheese, and smothered with onions cooked one of the ways I Luv, thick sliced and grilled. Would I drive all the way over there to eat again. For the Dog maybe, for a hamburger definitely not. But you be the judge.
