“This was my first visit to one of Edna's newest BBQ establishments. It's in a great location easy to spot from Hwy. 111 and just a quick detour off of Hwy. 59. Nice building and very inviting and they take cash, check, debit and credit cards which is really nice! I ordered the chopped brisket sandwich with jalapenos and onions. While the sandwich size was more than ample, the meat tasted more like the precooked, prepackaged brisket you buy at HEB. It just didn't taste like pit BBQ. Tasted like mass produced meat. While the hamburger bun was fluffy and soft, one part of the bottom bun was hard. As for the add ons of jalapenos and onions, there were about three jalapenos and a small piece of an onion on this huge sandwich. Also ordered coleslaw which wasn't bad but it lacked that crispness and bite that really good coleslaw has. I had to try the potato salad which is one of my favorite sides! It was the smooth, whipped version of potato salad, which I prefer. Initially, it was excellent, great flavor but a little heavy on the dill. By the end of it, the dill had become really overpowering. Could have used a bit more mayo and more egg, for my taste. Finally, there was the banana pudding. It had an untraditional flavor to it but I liked it. It seemed more like vanilla pudding with bananas it. also seems heavy on the vanilla extract flavor. Normally, vanilla wafers are used in banana pudding but this was not the case here. They used some other sort of shortbread cookie it seemed. The bananas were a little black but overall it was pretty good. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming and the inside was nicely decorated. Overall, I will return if just to try out some other things on the menu! Definitely an asset though to dining options in Edna. I wish them much success!”

“Best Fries and Burger! I eat Whataburger probably twice a week in Houston, but this location in Edna takes the crown for best meal! The fries were perfectly crisp and salty, the sweet tea didn’t taste like plant and herbs, the burger was delicious! Tipping my hat’s off to y’all! Also the drive through wait didn’t bother me. I don’t mind waiting longer for an excellent meal.”

“A keeper. Local hard-working business who appreciates smoked meats. I walked through the front door and was hit this thick warm smoke, that perfect sweet smell of sausage, chicken, and brisket. The folks are friendly, helpful, and attentive. These folks appreciate smoked meats and keep everything fresh and tasty. Don't forget to get an order of beans -- they bite in the nice way. The sausage was so yom yom, I had to buy an another pound for on the way. It's sad that just yards is some international corporate fast food join nearby, the one with frozen beef, the stale buns, the tasteless sides, the careless employees, the business that swallows the profits out of the community and some people think makes salt as flavor, but Cowboy BBQ has the real flavor. Big mistake. Skip McD and stay local.”

“They have been know to have really good French fries but not today. I've been here twice and they're food has not impressed me. The staff is not pleasant or happy and they don't greet people with a smile. I'll really think twice before I visit again.”

“Great atmosphere and giant burgers. The sign on the building is no lie, these are big burgers and you get an equally large amount of fries if you get a combo. The bacon is cooked crispy, like crunchy crispy. The veggies on the burger are enough to make a salad, and the milkshakes are made by hand with real ice cream and milk. Inside, it definitely has that welcoming, everyone knows your name vibe. The location is a little bit out of the way, but totally worth it.”

“Was open on a holiday when most everyone was closed. That gives them a five! Was clean and spacious with ample seating. The staff was attentive. Typical Subway menu where everyone can get a sandwich exactly to their liking whatever freshly made. And even if you don't want a sandwich you can pick up a cookie for the road.”
