Ole' West Bean & Burger

The food was good and plenty. Good prices too. The salad bar was fresh.

Salad bar did not live up to all the hype. Pasta and potato salads were gross. Boxed trash for sure. Beans were bland. Service was good. Catfish was good. Over priced menu. Period.

The atmosphere and service were great. But seeing as "Beans and Burgers" is the name of the place, we figured both would be exceptional. The burger was a very healthy half-pound hand-formed patty that was charred nicely... But overcooked and dry. The beans were nothing special. Just flavorless plain pinto and over-flavored Ranch-style canned beans. I expected pinto beans cooked with seasonings such as onions, peppers and bacon.

The atmosphere, service, substantial burger and free ice cream got them to 4 stars. Cook the burger to no more than medium well and slow cook beans from scratch and it would be 5 stars. Small clean restroom.

My sister and I love eating here it had a huge country fried steak. It had on the salad bar area where you could fix all you could eat and they had pinto beans Amanda another Bane I'm sorry but I don't remember what it was it was good.

Highly Recommend!!! If you want a home cooked meal as good as you would cook yourself this is the place for you to dine, very good food, great menu choices, very good portions, and always served hot. The Salad bar, bean bar and ice cream are a great bonus!! I highly recommend the Chicken fried steak and the Hamburger steak those are our favorites!
