First time here. My server was very attentive. Ambiance is cozy and nicer than most Chinese restaurants. Presentation of food was pretty. I ordered General Tso's chicken. The flavor was perfect, but my chicken was way overcooked and steamed rice was dry. May be because I got there late at 7:30 and a pre-made batch sat too long in warmers? I did like there were plenty of bell peppers and carrots, they don't skimp on veggies (but i prefer broccoli with this dish). I will go back and try again at earlier time. I would like my food made fresh though regardless of arrival time. I was also sad to find out they don't serve walnut shrimp.
I always do take out. The service is fast and friendly. The food is very good. I can only think of one thing I would like changed. The egg rolls with the early bird special are actually just small spring rolls. That won't stop me from going there on those evenings when I' too tired to cook.
I've always loved coming here but if we're being honest it's gone down hill a bit. A little while back there was a change in ownership and the quality of the food just isn't the same. I recommend eating in rather than taking out if you can. Whenever I get anything that has chicken in it to take out, it's never as crispy and I always end up gagging on at least one piece filled with fat. Also, whenever I get it to go I notice some of the chicken is kind of grey, definitely should be white.
Ordered General Tso Chicken and expected something spicy. I was disappointed to find it lacked any heat at all. The flavor wasn't bad...just not enough kick for me. The hot and sour soup had a little more spice to it but still not what I would have expected.
On the upside, the iced tea was very good. I should have just ordered a pitcher of that instead of running our waiter ragged. And as waiters go, ours was very attentive without being a nuisance.
Overall, it wasn't a bad experience but I found the food a little disappointing.
