El Sombrero De Jalisco

Stopped by for lunch on a weekday, very pleased. The food was good and at a great price. The chips were warmed, which I think should be standard at any Mexican restaurant, but it seems like most don't do that. The only complaint I had is that the salsa was kind of watery. But the taste was good, just weak.

I had the enchiladas supreme. They were good. Pretty light for enchiladas, not drenched in sauce, which is what I wanted. They definitely have the sauce-submerged kind if you want that - someone else in my party ordered some. Seeing his enchiladas Verde almost made me regret my decision :P

I'll be back here again when I'm in the area.

This is a popular local watering hole and snack spot. The food is fast, tasty, and with a good selection. Staff are friendly, although a knowledge of Spanish for more complicated orders is advisable.

Happy hour (M-Thur 3-7) is good. Food is fresh. Enjoy the fajitas. Our adult daughter who was visiting from Manhattan likes the flour tortillas. Said they taste better here than anywhere else-they use butter when they grill them.
