“Food was exactly what you picture as the classic southern comfort food. It hit all the right notes of that true home-cooked meal that will surely lift your spirits. The Hotel was like a step back in time where the local history is preserved in its own element. The staff were friendly and kind. I am deducting a star because of the pungent smell that overlook us when we entered the dining area. My husband said that it was cleaning chemicals but it smelled like a mixture of natural gas and cleaning supplies. It almost ruined my appetite.”
