“Not huge on Italian food but options in Bay City are limited so I gave it a shot. Salad was made from a spring mix and was delicious, calamari was tender and the sauce it was served with was delicious. As a main course I had the shrimp scampi and I was not disappointed. Servings were large enough that I was able to save enough for lunch the next day.”

“Pizza is quite good, although their sauce is a bit on the sweet side. There are no tables here so you either pick up or order delivery. I opted for pickup on this occasion. The place appeared quite clean, service was fast and friendly. For those very few out there, yes, they do offer anchovies on their pizza.”

“Domino's is the best of the chain pizza options in Bay City. Store is small, with limited parking, and no dining area, but clean. Staff is efficient with take-out, and delivery drivers are always polite. Unlike the other places in town, Domino's oven actually cooks the pizza thoroughly with a regular run through the oven. Asking for well done will result in dark, crispy crust, with boiling-lava-hot cheese & toppings with hand tossed & pan pizza. Thin crust is hit or miss; sometimes its a crispy cracker with caramelized cheese & toppings, other times it could be used as a charcoal frisbee. Typical chain topping selection, nothing exotic. The pizza, sandwiches, and pasta's are good for the price point. The chicken bites & wings are underwhelming; small, chewy/fatty, and overpriced. The salads are surprisingly good; with a generous portion and crisp, fresh lettuce, with Ken's dressing packet(s).”

“For the appetizer we ordered a triple with fried onion, pickles and mozzarella cheese sticks. While the fried onion was surprisingly tasty, there was only a ranch dressing for a dip. Without the typical horseradish based dip, the experience was slightly disappointing. The fried pickles tasted frozen and tasteless. As a whole the appetizer is decent. I was really impressed with a cocktail they called the green tea. Our waiter Gregory suggested it for my wife and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Great job on service and delivery. Finally the main course was a medium rare smothered steak with baked potato. While the steak was cooked to perfection and the Monterrey jack cheese, onion and mushroom topping perfectly complimented the taste of the steak. The cut of the steak was really fatty and if it had been a better cut, I think my rating would be so much higher. Really liked the staff. For the price, this place shows a great potential to compete with larger venues in the Houston area.”

“Very nice restaurant. It has a great atmosphere, lots of nautical elements in the decor, and the staff was very prompt and professional. I ordered the flounder with a crab cake and everything was delicious. It's a bit far from where I live now, but the drive is worth it. I'll definitely stop by the next time I'm in the area, one of the best fish joints I've been to!”

“This hurts my carb loving heart to do... but this restaurant has the food of a 5 and the service of a 2.5... the sad truth is Fat Grass gets most things right. Just to lose favor on the simple things. They have AMAZING bread they set on the table... but they never have any made.. the last time I was there in the middle of a slow lunch day they even told me they needed to unfreeze more. Which is shocking considering I thought it was eating on point baked the same day goodness. If it's just frozen bread for Christ sakes you shouldn't run out. It's lunch time! Make enough. Other than that you'll also find most the staff seems to have forgotten that they work there. Fairly lazy.. this may be more of a good bar hangout than a lunch spot. I'm not sure.”

“I'm not sure why "express" is in the name. Last time I went, I waited 25 minutes. There was one other person waiting for food and the drive through may have had one or two vehicles. I just can't figure out what takes so long. I like both the chicken and the fish there. Despite the waiting times, I'm sure I'll return.”
