Had a small event catered by Uncle Dan's and it couldn't have been better! The order was delivered and set up right on time and the group enjoyed ribs, turkey, pulled pork, and brisket with sides and dessert. Food and service were both spectacular! Thanks!
Absolutely the best Bar-B-Que in Waco! We always visit at least once when in town '(only a couple of times a year since we live in North Carolina). This visit we had Prime Beef brisket and it was the best brisket we've ever had. They only do it on Friday so put it on your calendar. The sides are varied and totally yummy.
Great food and service. Mom and I had the Friday special, all you can eat catfish. It was really good. Dad had the 2 meat plate. Everything was really good. The catfish took a little longer because they make it to order. It still came out shortly after we sat down.
Always excellent. The sauce is a bit spicy for my taste. My favorite is the Texas Tater, all the way. I learned on this visit, by accident, that you can get sliced brisket on your Texas Tater. I liked that because I could get a better mix of potato and meat in every bite.
There is a great variety here for all taste buds. BBQ, burgers, chicken fried steak, baked potatoes, deserts and everything in between. The portions are big and the customer service is over the top - from everyone we encountered. We even got to talk with one of the family members of the owner. It was a very nice personal touch that you can only experience with family owned and operated businesses. This was our first time @ Uncle Dan's while we were visiting Waco.
I had the pork ribs plate and 1/2 lb jalapeno sausage. Rib meat was tender and very flavorful, ranch beans had a slight kick to it, but very good. The sausage with their spicy bbq sauce was tasty.
My wife had the smoked turkey and yellow potato salad. The turkey was very moist and tender.
I would have taken pictures of our food, but I was very hungry at the time and it did not sit idle on my plate too long after I sat down. Overall, we walked out very full and we will be returning next time we are in Waco.
