Saltgrass Steak House

Pretty expensive for the prime rib I got. The prime rib was very tough. I got a much better steak at Texas Roadhouse. The service was pretty good.

Went with my family for my sister's birthday. The wait staff was superb. The food was delicious. They are pricey, but they have earned it. And even with my other sister's child screaming bloody murder, the staff was still patient. I was almost expecting someone to ask us to leave like you see on news stories. But thankfully the staff was patient and didn't start anything like that. The drinks were good and even the appetizers were to die for.

We arrived at about 5:30 on a Friday afternoon with a party at 5. We were seated quickly and drinks delivered quickly. Our order was taken promptly and our appetizer was delivered timely. After that everything was a bit slower. One person's drink was never refilled during our entire hour and a half stay. Two others had to ask three times before their drinks were refilled. By drinks, I am referring to water and tea. One individual in our party ordered chop steak at medium. It was delivered charred on the outside and bloody on the inside. It was returned. The grilled chicken was good but nothing special. The steak that was ordered at medium came at medium rare. It was good but not cooked to order. We had friends with us who had a preferred customer card. A manager came to the table and engaged those two members of our party in conversation and completely ignored everyone else at the table. She truly did not acknowledge us in any way! We had discussed becoming part of the preferred member program, but after this experience that will not happen and we will probably not return.

I loved the whole experience. Environment was so Texas, the staff treated us like guests to their home. The menu was full of choices that sounded wonderful. The chicken fried steak was huge and very tasty. The baked potato was done exactly as you should do one and also very tasty. A delicious bread is brought out immediately with the best cinnamon butter I've had.

Have eaten here twice and both times we have had great service. Food is pretty good but it's just not our taste. Their croutons are amazing and hope one day they will sell them! Definitely recommend to try this place.
