“First review of Sheppy Shack's BBQ. I had the pulled pork with sides and blackberry cobbler. I'm not usually a sauce kinda person as I think BBQ should stand on its own (which it did!) but i was offered a blackberry sauce and thought what the heck, I'll give it a try. Perhaps it was because I am crazy for all things blackberry, but that sauce was outstanding! Not too sweet, didn't cover up the pork flavor. Give it a try. The pork itself had a great flavor and was moist with nice bark on the ends. Pork done right to reduce it down. Now the Dutch oven blackberry cobbler was my highlight. Did I mention I was crazy for blackberry anything? It was fantastic!! Delicious light crust in just the right proportion to filling. Blackberry filling was nice and thick, not runny at all. A very well put together dessert. I'll be heading back tonight for my next meal from these fine folks. Head out west and give this veteran owned joint a look-see. You won't be disappointed.”
