“It's been 2 years since I've been to KD's. The food is still excellent. The meats are very flavorful and very lean, a high quality product. The cobbler is still delicious whether you like peach or cherry. On a side note the potato salad is not the same. It does not have a richer hearty flavor it's rather sour. The beans are good. I know prices are going up but it seemed a bit high. Both me and my son we got two slices of brisket one scoop of sausage a small container of cobbler and the total came out to be over $50. We did not get drinks in this price. This was just a bit higher than I expected. It used to be the meal this size would have cost about 30 to $35. But on a good note the staff is very friendly the service is very prompt and polite and the restaurant is very clean. Good job and be proud of the food you serve. It was very delicious with the exception of the new potato salad.”

“Absolutely incredible little hole in the wall place that should not be overlooked. The food is incredible, authentic, and flavorful with large portions. The owners and staff are kind and attentive, quick and eager to get you your food. The location is on a road that is easily accessible and never packed or busy. There's so many options to choose from and made hot and fresh to order. I've always had issues with bugs in food, rude staff, and difficult accessibility at restaurants in the Midland/Odessa area. I'm happy to report this was never an issue with this restaurant. If you're in the area and craving flavor rich food with a home cooked feel I highly recommend stopping by for a quick comforting bite to eat.”

“One of our new favorite Chinese take-outs in Midland! Clean, wide variety of selections, and massive portions! (Check my pictures, they don’t skimp) We stopped in by chance, and loved it! Pricing was great, especially if you consider that the portion size is two meals per container. Rice is solid, and the noodles are even better. Chicken was all cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious. Definitely worth stopping in, and grabbing some take out. They also have booths, if you prefer to eat it there.”

“February 14,2021 a winter storm knocked out our electricity and water. We went out looking for hot coffee. The 2nd place we tried was this Kent Kwik. Not only did they have fresh hot coffee, we sat at a table and ate lunch from the hot deli section. The clerk ( I am thinking he was the manager ) treated us like guests in his home. He was so kind- right when we needed it the most. I’m sorry I didn’t get his name but I’m thankful for him. The food was hot and tasty and the store was immaculate.”

“So I was driving on Andrews Highway and I saw a sign about nachos. I said “I could use some nachos.” So off I go. Taco Villa is a nice little quaint clean restaurant! So many employees hustling around yet extremely friendly and engaging. The tea is GREAT. The nachos are GREAT! This is like an upscale Taco Bell. Every fan of nachos should stop in.”

“Rusty Tacos is a great addition to the Midland food scene. The food was good, the restaurant has a great vibe, and the margaritas were tasty. We sat on the patio at the bar which was comfortable in the shade with all the fans/misters. It was very busy, but the staff that helped us were all very nice. We tried 7 tacos and enjoyed all of them. 10/10 would recommend the Tropical Shrimp! Glad to have Rusty Tacos here in Midland!”

“First time going there and let me say I was blown away by the food, the staff that was working were very nice and friendly, the environment was welcoming, everything was fresh and hot, I got the fried catfish and it was probably the best I’ve tasted so far living in midland, the sides I recommend are the trio of greens, fried cabbage and the candied yams, I’m definitely going again sometime next week to try out more of the items they have. Before and after pics to show how good everything I got was. I definitely recommend coming here if you want to eat great food.”

“The two times I've been here have been at the top of my eating experiences in the area! My first meal here was a brisket and potato burrito. Definitely the best brisket I've had in a couple of decades! It was incredibly tender with the most amazing flavor. My kids loved the burgers. My initial interest in this restaurant was someone's review that mentioned green chili soup. It's not on the menu at this time of year. I expressed my little sadness over that as I crave green chilies and Korean food when I'm pregnant. Mr. Brown generously offered to make a custom order for me and scheduled with me for which day I could pick it up! He also made it mild for me since I can't do spicy while pregnant. I bought this as my birthday present to myself and brought it to a friend to share with. She was just as blown away as I was. Each of the ingredients in the soup retained its own flavor while meshing well with the others (potatoes, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, meat, etc.). The meat in this was phenomenally tender as well. I find that most places try to flavor everything by over salting. Not in this case! The beautiful flavor was added to with whichever herbs/spices he put in the soup. Beyond the food, the customer service was incomparable... My kids even keep commenting about how they nice Mr. Brown is. I've missed having great food here. I told him it helped to make Midland feel more like home. Give it a try!”
