I called and the person I spoke with said I order a lot of toppings “yes I paid for it why are you questioning that” does that give you reason to remove the toppings I paid for? “My wife and I wanted to try somewhere new and we chose Gerardo's. We both shared the queso flameado, which was cooled off from where it had been sitting in the back waiting to be delivered. The service needed help. Not sure of they were short handed or what, but our waitress wasn't very attentive, and couldn't multitask. We had to ask for limes 3 times before we ever got any. No chips, or silverware when we got our appetizer, and it took awhile for us to get our food. The people that showed up next to us a half hour later, got their food the same time we did. Her skillet was sizzling as mine wasn't. The queso flameado was cold and not what we expected. It's melted grated cheese, not liquid queso as we thought, was ok. The meat was tender and flavorful but that's it. My kid had the grilled cheese, which I was impressed by how it looked and the amount of tasty fries that came with it. My wife and I shared the tacos al carbon thinking they would be street taco like tacos. They were 2 burritos served with rice,guac, and charro beans. I'd come back and give them another shot, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to. The food was ok, but the service needed help. We were the 2nd to last table to leave restaurant that night”

“This was a really incredible meal for me. I eat a meat based carnivore diet and I was excited to see they would sell me sides of meat ala carte for. I tried the shredded chicken, ground beef, fajita chicken, and fajita beef. Be aware the ground beef has some potatoes in it so if you are on a low carb diet I would skip those. The fajita beef and chicken was incredible and I went back for seconds. I also got a side of sour cream and a side of shredded cheese to put on top. This was such a great option for me as someone who travels often and doesn't eat carbs. Highly recommend.”

“I want to start my review with a quick statement. If you've been here before and have had some kind of bad experience with the food or with the staff, then you must have been somewhere else!! My wife and I stopped by to have lunch because we're new to Midland Texas and have passed by the Cotton Patch Cafe long enough to finally give it a shot, and let me tell you we were very happy that we did.. The Hostess sat us down very quickly and our server ' Sayra ' greeted us, took the drink order and then brought them back along with these amazing warm and fresh Homemade house dinner rolls!! The rolls reminded of a famous old school (Parker House Roll). Anyway, I ordered a Chicken Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries and my wife ordered a the Patty Melt with Fries. Now. My chicken sandwich HANDS DOWN was the best I've ever had and if you ever put it up against Popeye's, Wendy's, or KFC, this sandwich would slap them down to a " go back and learn something level!!" Yes, it truly was just that good. The Patty Melt my wife ordered was next level as well, with a hand formed patty, juicy caramelized onions and melted swiss cheese, all on toasted bread. That Chicken Fried Chicken Sandwich is a perfectly breaded chicken breast laid on top of a bed of pickles and Bacon Mayo, along with this toasted buttered bun!!! The fries were perfectly cooked and the appetizer of deep fried pickles were some of the best I had in my travels around the country. Ask for a side of Bacon Mayo, that stuff is good on everything 😋”

“I thought Rosa and her husband were both very sweet people. My girlfriend and I ordered her deluxe funnel cake; half was birthday cake and the other was cookie and chocolate. “I’m gona give it an easy 5. Excellent pizza and wings. Covid hours were different then online. Which I’ve suggested an edit. Closed but still agreed to make me the order I placed online “since he’s we’re 10pm” not 8pm. Equipment shut down already they still fired it up and made the best fire hot wings and pizza money can buy when you’ve worked a solid 16 after arriving from from Oregon at 3am the day before flying with a 2yr old. Staff, was super awesome, made my evening! I’d wait again👌🏻”

“The kids and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We got seated right away and the drinks came promptly. Nice open environment and fun atmosphere. “The staff were nice and took our order promptly, too about five minutes for our order to come out. The burritos were big and full, a great deal for the modest price. They were tasty but there were small problems overall. The Verde had fat and gristle in it, not a lot but enough to distract. The tortillas were kind of bland and the machaca beef was in huge pieces. The server never came back once after he dropped off the food so my wife sat with no drink. He did however bring me two large bowls of salsa which I need for burritos, I use a ton of salsa per burrito. Overall I'd give this place a shot, you get tons of food for the price and it's fast with a clean building.”
