(May 5, 2018, 11:59 pm)Absolutely wonderful find just outside of Rockdale, TX. A humble little building does not prepare you for the superb, classic style Texas cooking. The fried pickles are fantastic! Delicate and crispy, but very filling as they arrive in a huge mound with home made ranch dressing. That was just the appetizer! Everything we ordered was equally good, with very generous portion sizes. The owners/staff are warmly welcoming as well. All in all, Troutman's Treats is the kind of throwback family-owned establishment that should put restaurant chains out of business.

(March 23, 2018, 10:41 pm)Oh my gosh it was delicious. I ordered the cave man and my steak was cooked just the way I liked it. The sides were excellent. My girlfriend and her son were very happy with the outcome.5 stars for the cook and service.
