Good Charlie's

First visit was on a Sunday at lunch time. The service was great initially, but food took quite a bit of time to arrive and once our waiter acquired a couple more tables our service slowed tremendously, however he was very personable. I had the loaded bloody Mary and it was delicious with the exception of the oyster that was on it which could have been fresher. O ordered the premium oysters as an appetizer and they were delicious. The lobster bisque had quite a bit of meat and was good, too. We also had the coconut shrimp, blackened shrimp, fried fish which were good. The gumbo was excellent, very hardy with great flavor and a bit of a kick. We'll definitely be back!

Really good experience. Our hosts come here all the time and say it’s very reliable. Excellent kitchen, know what they’re doing. Good enough light roux thickish gumbo, excellent grilled oysters and charred wedge salad. I’d been craving catfish and a huge plate arrived with crispy but juicy fresh filets; yum! Dad’s coconut shrimp were huge and the mixed seafood appetizer in garlic butter overflowed with goodness with plenty of hot garlic bread. 22oz beers, good wine. Our server Josh was knowledgeable and ably steered us through the gluten-free options. Highly recommended. Huge bar inside too.

This was our first visit to Good Charlie’s and we liked it. Our food was good. The fried shrimp was prepared very well. The service was good, but not great. We are looking forward to coming back.

I can't say enough GOOD things about Good Charlie's! The courteous hostess greeted me upon arrival, and Emma was my wonderful server once seated. Everything was DELICIOUS!

I started with 6 Island Creek and 6 Butter & Brine oysters 🦪. Both sets were fantastic, but I preferred Island Creek just a tad bit more. Next I ordered a cup of lobster 🦞 bisque soup that was to die for. It was rich and flavorful. My meal was rounded out with a side of hush puppies. Similar to my prior two dishes, they did not disappoint. 5 stars! I WILL return!
