Mahoney's Texish Bar & Restaurant

Awesome service, great food. The bar was a tad slow which keeps it from a 5 but not horrible by any means. We may have just walked in during a rush. But the Thursday steak special can't be beat. And the happy hour was phenomenal and I highly recommend ordering every appetizer.

Would definitely recommend. I just don't give 5 stars to every place I go.

I’ve never been anywhere like Mahoney’s. Mahoney’s has astonishing food, a remarkable staff and a spectacular environment that fit all age groups. Every time I have gone in, the staff has treated me like family. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone who is trying to go out and have a good time. Much better than anywhere I’ve ever been on the waterway!!

My new FAVOURITE PLACE and I WILL be here regularly! The guests are happy, the employees are happy and this place is happy...that makes me happy :) it blows the other "Irish" bars in the area out of the water! Great food and decent prices...great location...great music EVERY night! (Good Time Muffin played and were amazing last night). Best if all: it's not a cram-packed, clautrophibic, standing-room only, hookup joint with sub-par music... like a certain place across the street :p

The food was amazing! Even to go! Since I have a newborn and can’t leave the house, my husband brought me food from Mahoney’s and man oh man was it delicious! We had the salmon which was perfectly cooked with a crisp and beautiful tasting glaze on top! The Belfast Cottage Pie hit the spot AND the jalapeño crisp was amazing! I’ll definitely get those every time! Looking forward to tasting everything else on the menu and enjoying a drink when I can!

So far everything I have eaten here has been amazing. The South Texas burger is very unique and is honestly one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. The Flapjacks and Chicken go hard as well. They come with this habanero strawberry jam which is like nothing I have ever had before. They make perfect little chicken-pancake tacos.
