London Bar and Grill

Food was okay but DO NOT GO TO THE WINDOW. My wife placed an order online and paid. I arrived to the window and sat for 15 min before going inside. I could see our To-Go bags sitting under the heat lamp. I went in and there were 3 families seated and 2 people working the dining room and window. I spoke with the gentlemen behind the register and let him know that someone else was now at the window.

In the area , so thought we would stop for lunch. Ordered fried pickles for appitizer. They were good , nice crunch, hot out of fryer and not a sour dill. The ranch was very thin and not much taste. I had seen good reviews on the burgers , I should have ordered a burger. Instead , I ordered the fried shrimp basket , and it came with French fries. I will say it was just out of the fryer. The breading was very crunchy , maybe a Panko breading it did stay on the shrimp entire bite. That is where the good news ended.
The shrimp was very small, and it had been butterflied , so even though it had 6 shrimp , you could not taste the shrimp. Being generous, it was a 1 to 1 ratio of batter to shrimp.
The shrimp had an overall fish taste , so it must all be fried in the same or old oil.
The Tarter sauce was very lemon forward , I like lemon ,but not such a tangy Tarter sauce.
The French fries were hot , and they were the double fried , but they were very greasy. The server was very distracted , we asked for lime or lemon with our water ( it is a bar) and did not get it , when she did RUN by , she never looked and noticed when we were out of water , we had to ask for more. And it did not get crowed until we were leaving, then a big table of workman came in. I will not go out of my way , but if in London at lunchtime , I will give them one more shot and try one of the hamburgers , but no fries.

I went for lunch, I had the Texas jalapeño steak. It was like a Philly cheesesteak, but had jalapeños in it. The meat was cooked great and the jalapeños added a nice heat to it. I also got a side of the fried pickles, for $8.00 I got about half of what I expected. They were good pickles just not enough for the price. My wife got the shrimp basket, the shrimp was small, and it was butterflied. There was so much batter on the small shrimp you couldn’t even taste the shrimp. I would definitely go back for the sandwiches and I look forward to going back and trying the hamburgers and the wings. The server we had did a pretty good job and it’s a nice little place out in London.

First time here and my family and I LOVED it. The price for the portion of every meal is well worth it.

Ordered chips & salsa, and onion rings for appetizers (not pictured) - you could tell they were fresh, hot and crispy.
Also had the bowl of poblano soup - DEFINITELY recommend it! Super creamy and just the right amount of spice.
Also pictured: Popper Burger - never had a burger like this before and I’d definitely go back for it! Jalapeños, bacon, lettuce, and cream cheese made for a savory burger (opted out of tomatoes). Sunrise Burger - my fiancé loved the sauce and noted it was just the right amount of spicy. Egg could’ve been more runny but it was delicious!

Service and staff were all incredibly nice and friendly. Love that it’s so close to home and the prices are affordable for the location and portions. Will be back soon!
