Pier 99 Restaurant

Love this place. It is my go to on North Beach. Great atmosphere right on the water, food is fresh and servers are nice. The only beef I have is with the “key lime” pie. Although I live in Texas now, I’m born and raised in Florida and vacation to the Keys quite often. Key lime pie is not green! Nor is it whipped air light. Please look for a vendor that supplies genuine key lime pie so that you’re not offering an imposter.

We stopped for a quick bite, we were in a bit of a hurry. We were sat order taken and food was out quickly. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and the waitress was absolutely fantastic! Very laid back. Food was on point. We will for sure be coming back!

The food was pretty good, but there were a few things that brought it down to a 4 star. The shrimp diablo appetizer was good. We got the oyster basket and added two scallops. The scallops were great but the oysters left a little to be desired. They were nothing special and we were hoping for more flavor. They were dry and a little overcooked. The same could be said of the fries. We liked the key lime pie for dessert. Service was good, but the live music was way too loud.
