Natty Flat Smokehouse

I have been coming to Natty flats for only a few years. And even then, my visits are few and far between, because of its location on 281. That said, this place definitely deserves 5 stars. The first time I visited Natty flat Smokehouse, I had just been laid off from my job. I was in a horrible mood, and did not feel like going home. I stopped here to get something to eat, because it was nearly lunchtime anyway. I got the chopped pork or pulled pork sandwich, and some fries and a root beer. By the time I finished my meal, I did not care that I had just been laid off from my job. In the time since, whenever I visit Natty flat Smokehouse, I always come away with a general sense of well-being, and certainly an improvement in mood, whether or not I have had a good day or a bad. In addition to the restaurant, they also have a furniture store with beautiful pieces. A gift shop, and a wine shop. If you are traveling down 281, you simply must stop here.

This was a damn good detour off 20W. Baked potato salad and BBQ was some of the best I ever had.

Lovely and authentic place, definitely worth a detour from the highway. Food was very good, and store has some neat items as well. Only missing ribs on the menu...

So glad that we took the time to stop here and eat! The people are friendly and laid back. We had the brisket sandwiches one chopped the other sliced. Then I had the side of beans! It was delicious!! The sweet and unsweet tea was refreshing. I loved the charming rustic atmosphere of the place. If I am every that way again I will be sure to stop by! ????
