Sam's Southern Eatery - Amarillo

First time eating here but it won’t be the last. Generous portions and fantastic tasting fish with hush puppies and slaw. Crisp big filets that were so tender and flaky.

This was our first time but definitely not our last. Very friendly service. Jessica is the sweetest. Food was fresh and out quickly. So delicious. I love the spin on the tartar sauce. Thank you for the attentive service and fabulous food!

Average seafood restaurant. Staff not the friendliest ever. Waitress seemed to rush us. Pretty good variety. Plenty of choices. Lots of fried things. Needed a few more sides. I did not understand why okra was not a side choice. I had to get it as an appitizer. More than i needed and more expensive. The chicken tenders had a kick if you like that. Have jambalaya which lots of people love. Not somewhere i would go again. Not too impressive to me.

Great food and wonderful service! Dominic was very attentive to our needs. We tried the gumbo, Philly cheese steak, fried green tomatoes, fried fish, crab cake, fried mushrooms, grilled shrimp, a chicken nugget kids meal, red beans and rice and coleslaw. Everything was delicious! We will be back often.

Nice, quiet place (i was here Wednesday afternoon though). It’s clean and has plenty of seating. I really enjoyed my fried catfish and their coleslaw was really good ( a lot of places don’t know how to make it 🤦🏻‍♀️) . Portion was huge (had to as for box to go). Customer service was amazing! If I would be local I definitely comeback here for more dinners.
