The Açaí Bar

3 stars for the açaí bowl but 0-1 star for service. Came in and ordered a bowl to go and wait from 11:41-12:30 and I finally went up to the counter to ask about my order and she said what’s your name and I told her and she opened the little fridge and took it out. I said I’ve been waiting in here, but they never called my name. I also paid for extra granola and did not get it.

Food is great but service leaves little to be desired. Had to wait over 30 minutes while others came and went. Finally said something and got a nonchalant “ sorry bout that “

After I paid a little extra to drizzle my Bowl with honey 🍯 it really hit the spot! Very good and fulfilling bowl. I would come weekly if not daily if I lived here. Picture below is before the add of honey.

A nice oasis of health in Amarillo, TX.

For the price, bowls are rather small but I’m also used to large açaí bowls from Los Angeles. Also, the toast is pricey for just one slice of toast.

Overall, The Açaí Bar caters to a niche group of health conscious eaters, but for those used to having plenty of options for açaí bowls, be prepared to pay more for less than you’re used to.
