Stopped here because of the reviews and am so glad I did. Everything is made from scratch and delicious. Had chicken fried steak that was tender and moist. Fried okra were tasty and fried perfectly. Filled up on lunch and took the peach cobbler to go. Loved every bite. Looking forward to the next excuse to eat here again. Don't drive by without stopping if you're in the area.
This place is truly a gem. We stopped here on the way to College Station and were very glad we did!! We both had the enchiladas and they were phenomenal! Also, you must try the buttermilk pie!! We ordered an extra to-go! We loved it so much that we stopped back through and ate it for breakfast the next day. The breakfast burritos are the best I’ve ever had. Everything is home-made and fresh. The service was astounding as well. Bridgett made us feel right at home. If you’re hungry for some home-cooking, this is your stop!!
Excellent! We stopped for a quick breakfast and ordered the meat omelet and the biscuits and gravy. Great sized portions and food was fantastic! Will definitely stop here again.
My husband and I have eaten here several times in the last month. The food has always been good and the service great and very friendly. We have had the burgers, the Chile, potatoes and today we had the fried catfish. Highly recommend the homemade chips and salsa.
We picked up dessert to go and I encourage you to do the same. We just shared the chocolate merengue pie and were amazed! All from scratch! Can't wait to taste the pecan buttermilk pie we also brought home!
Worth a Try. We only popped in for coffee as it was too early for lunch. It smelled delicious! We had decided to return for lunch, but didn't stay in town long enough. We would definitely eat there if we're ever in Calvert at mealtime.
