Athena Greek Restaurant

My family loves this restaurant! Everything I've had thus far has been excellent. My six year old loves the gyro platter. The chicken lemonato was so tender (usually chicken dishes are dry) and full of butter lemon flavor. The spanakopita is heaven and to finish it off, try their Greek custard dessert-not overly sweet. It's very reasonable for the amount of food you get. I always have left-overs.

This Authentic Greek restaurant has many delicious platters to choose from. We Love everything about it and is always a great experience. The deserts are Yummy!

UPDATE April 27, 2019: Had lunch with the Hubby. I ordered the Gyro plate he ordered the Gyro. I guess we really ended up ordering plates of DELICIOUSNESS! Conner was AWESOME. Professionalism with a Smile. Very attentive. Once again, a must go to dine at anytime restaurant in Tyler. BTW... The homemade salad dressing is to die for.

Thank you Kelsey for the excellent service and assistance in understanding the menu. The food was DELICIOUS. Hats off to the chef. We will return for dinner. So many authentic dishes to choose from.

Food is fabulous! Service is great, very friendly. But I do wish they would change locations maybe move South. I think it would double their business. I recommend this one to all my friends.

We were travelling across country and stayed in Tyler for one night. The restaurant had great reviews so we crossed the parking lot to go there. The menu looked great. We ordered the Meze Sampler for two and we each ordered what we thought would be smaller entrees. WRONG! The sampler would have been sufficient for the two of us. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! But with the entrees, it was far too much. I had a lamb gyro and my cousin had a vegetarian entree. They were great, but way too much foot for two. So, go, and you should, but be aware of the larger sizes. There was very little ambiance. The waitress was wonderful. But no great decor. But the food!!!!!!
