Taco Bueno

There was a long wait with a short line, their card machine was down, and my taco salad barely had any protein (meat) on it. I did come around 12, however, so I’ll try earlier next time- giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Yesterday was my first time going there. My daughters wanted Taco Bell and I told them let's get something a bit better today. I had the extra money to try something new. While they do offer a less commercial looking restaurant this is basically a fancy Taco Bell. I wish I could go back and save some money. Good but not great.

I have been coming here since I was a small kid, and I still think they have some of the best enchiladas and their tacos are the best value and they hold their own with some of the really nice taco shops in terms of quality. You really get the most bang for your buck here, just always be sure to check your order before you drive away, if something is not correct they are always very friendly and polite and they make sure the problem is fixed immediately. The Wholelotta Platter is one of my favorite things to get!

I had the chicken nacho salad and it was not as I remembered from having loved it in the past, but it was okay. Much less cheese sauce than I remember, which left it rather dry, and much less tasty. I had to add several things of hot sauce to it, but then it was good.

I've always liked Taco Bueno, and I must admit that I am sad that so many area locations have recently closed. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to operate a large number of fast food locations, so my heart goes out to them. Just the same, there is clearly something going on to bring about such dramatic changes. Perhaps they simply need to provide advanced training and consider redesigning the entire user experience. Either way, I plan on frequenting Taco Bueno until it is no longer an option.
