Lisa's Chicken

Fast good priced reasonable

Okay... Today was my first time to try Lisa's Chicken. I called my order in from I-35. The order was ready when I arrived, hot and fresh.

I ordered two breast and an order of fries. I saw from the pictures on Google, that they had crinkle cut fries (which are my favorite type of French fries). I asked if mine could be extra extra crispy (what many people would consider too dark).

When I arrived the place was super busy. And, rightly so, as I had arrived just a few minutes after noon. I saw they had tons of chicken, fish and fries already cooked under the heat lamps. So, I figured "Oh well... there's no way my fries will be cooked longer than those others".

I paid, picked up my order and went out to my car. To my SURPRISE, the fries had indeed been cooked extra extra crispy! I was amazed that they made a SPECIAL effort to cook my fries longer. That means the cooked a small batch, just for me! And, during their huge rush hour!!

Everything was excellent. The quality of the meat, the way the employees treated their customers with complete courtesy. My chicken did not taste of fish in any way (like some of the other reviewers got theirs). Maybe I got lucky on that too.

But, bottom line... Don't let the fact that it's located in a service station/convenience store. The place is clean, reasonably priced and delicious. Also, there is ample seating for many customers. I highly recommend this place. I have saved it on my map for the future.

Note: If you are traveling on I-35, this place is a quick minor exit and a couple short blocks away. Not far enough to be a hassle or long deature from your drive. Try it!

As long as your expectations are reasonable, this place hits the spot. Great for the price and folks are kind
