Steak 'n Shake

We were on a very long drive and stopped to change diapers and get something to eat. The staff was very nice and polite to us. They made us feel very welcome even though it was early in the morning. The food was good and the prices were good too.

The only complaint I have is every location I visit the dining area is dirty! This is a family establishment so kids being kids tables and booths I expect to be covered in food. However 99% of the time when I want to eat in with my family the place looks like a disaster! Often there are lines waiting for the tables to be cleaned which seems to take a long time. Steak 'n Shake has managed to corner their brand in the market of burgers which is remarkable given the number of burger competitors. Their cheese fries are very tasty. It can get pricy for families. Instead of eating in I now prefer drive through but now I discovered Culver's whose burgers are the best for fast food type burgers, fries and entire menu. Too there is always a clean booth or table to sit down without waiting.

Steak 'n Shake should look to Culver's to elevate the pride they take in appearance and service. Try harder Steak 'n Shake because it's the right thing to do. You managed to make a competitive brand name for yourselves...why blow it now because you can't provide pride in cleanliness and service?
