First Watch - Camp Bowie

I got the avocado toast which is served with two basted eggs. I didn’t know what that meant but my server Shauna graciously informed me that it’s when you prepare fried eggs in water instead of oil. Huh, you learn something new every day. I wanted to order side of turkey bacon but they don’t do turkey bacon so Shauna let me know that they do have turkey sausage but suggested the chicken apple sausage patties which I ordered and they were great! In fact the whole experience was rather pleasant and I would have rated with 5 stars. Except I didn’t appreciate the way that I was treated by the hostess Martha when I arrived. I told her it was just me and she took me to this table in the front corner there was nothing wrong with it I just prefer being more towards the center and when I said something to her she said and I quote “Fine, just sit where you want!” Now she didn’t tell it (like an exclamation mark might indicate) but it was pretty aggressive and full of attitude and like I said I didn’t appreciate it. on top of that as I was leaving She saw me telling someone one about it and started laughing. If this is considered an acceptable level of customer service I’m not sure I’ll return.

Great food and great service. Lots of interesting items to choose from. The lemon curd pancakes were delicious. Will definitely be back to try some of the other offerings.

Nice place, we don’t go here often but it’s always good when we do. The staff is always helpful and courteous. The specials are usually the best thing on the menu and I like that they rotate them out each season except that it means sometimes something truly delicious will disappear forever. I guess it’s a good way of making sure you come back to enjoy it before it’s gone!

The atmosphere, food and service are great. I was a little disappointed by the menu. It's pretty simple basic breakfast food. I was hoping for something unique and different. Worth going to for sure but don't miss out with on other great breakfast locations.

First visit. As a "foodie" I gotta give this place my approval. Very fresh ingredients. A bit fussy to my mind on some of the offerings but still a well conceived menu. I especially liked being able to go online for a reservation and receive an immediate time reply. Be aware the hours are "breakfast" and "brunch" only. Well worth my time.
