Train I stopped in for a much needed beer they
Had my fav on tap !!!
I was the only customer at the moment & the gentleman working was friendly but not overbearing
I stayed for some food and a few beers
I will most certainly visit again when I’m back in town

We met AJ himself and he shared some interesting stories about his life and his business. The brisket sandwich was great as well as the fried catfish, and the coleslaw was amazing! Next visit we will have the BBQ pork... and cold beer or mixed drinks!

Great barbecue, and friendly hometown service. Amazing bark on the pork ribs gives way to tender, smokey meat that falls of the bone. The meats are all high quality cuts. The drink selection is also great with a nice selection of local taps, domestic beers and house made cocktails. If you’re in Grapevine make sure to stop in, you won’t regret it.

Fantastic hidden gem. This restaurant is directly next door to the railroad. We went for The North Pole Express and decided to pay to park in AJ's lot. The smell coming from the restaurant was so good we knew we were going to be having dinner there. The place is small and comfortable. There's indoor and outdoor patio seating The food is out of this world. My daughter and I shared the catfish and it is the best catfish I have ever had. The breading was delicious and not too thick. The fries are great. The cocktails are so good..... try the Mules, they have a variety of them. I don't have a photo of the full menu because they offer a limited menu during the North Pole Express busy season. Grapevine is a wonderful city with a lot to offer. It's worth a visit and when you're there or at the Great Wood Lodge go visit AJ's, you'll be glad you did. I can't wait to go back and try the smoked brisket or pulled pork.
