Great pho and awesome owners. Pho came out quickly and was piping hot. Broth had great flavor and depth. Meat was good quality and tender. Prices definitely are reasonable for the quality. Will be back whenever we are traveling up to the grapevine area.
Best Vietnamese spring rolls I’ve had in the USA. Fresh not been in the fridge all week and it comes with a real peanut sauce. My pho soup was great. Happy customer!!
First time trying them today for lunch. Ordered egg rolls and pork vermicelli.
Came in and the restaurant was completely empty which seemed unusual for downtown grapevine at peak lunch hours. There was an extremely overwhelming smell of ammonia or some cleaning solution rather than the expected aromas of the delicious dishes being prepared.
Unfortunately this odor seems to have strongly affected the flavor of the peanuts and noodles causing them to be virtually inedible. Even the pork had a slight flavor of ammonia.
Overall the dish's presentation was beautiful, generous portion for the price, and there was a glossy though somewhat bland sauce coating the pork which I haven't seen in other Vietnamese restaurants. The egg rolls were somewhat lacking in flavor which seemed to be because the filling was 90% noodle with a very small amount of pork and nearly indiscernible amount of the usual veg. They were only $2.50 for 2 though, compared to another Grapevine restaurant charging closer to $5 for 2 egg rolls so it's understandable that they'd have less expensive fillings.
After my lifetime of experience enjoying the many Vietnamese restaurants for which Haltom City is known, I can safely say this place could be good if they stored the dry goods away from the ammonia odor or changed their cleaning methods so that it does not affect the foods flavor.
The service was great, the restaurant itself looked fresh and tidy, it was easy to place a to-go order. Definitely could have been a 5 star experience if not for the pervasive ammonia odor affecting the food.
Innovative setup. Good pho and grilled pork
I absolutely enjoyed my meal! Being vegan is no problem when you find a great place for a fair price! This is certainly where I will come back when I'm in the area. They were very friendly, greeted me when I came in with a smile. This was a noodle dish with fried tofu and veggies. It was hot and fresh, very good!
