What a great Google find!! Great food and better service!!! No Credit or Debit Cards, ATM available, but them not paying card fees is reflected in the price!! (the way it used to be) 3 eggs, hashbrowns, bacon (3 strips) and toast. My wife had oatmeal with bacon and toast. The total was $19.
I loved the quaintness of this Abilene icon. For the price, the food was ok. Service was friendly and quick which made up for the mediocre food. I would recommend this place. The extensive pig collection was so adorable.
Great place to eat. The service is awesome. The food is truly to die for but the best part about it is the family environment you feel as soon as you step inside. This place is a true gem of Abilene and I would recommend it to everyone. You won't be disappointed
The Dixie Pig. All I can say is the waitress was super nice and attentive but not overbearing. The presentation was lovely. And the food, well let me say it was the best breakfast I've had in a long time. Everything was so fresh and tasteful, cooked to my liking.well worth the money we paid. I will visit this establishment many times in the future.
I loved reading all the great reviews! I’m 73 yrs old and it’s probably been 67 years since I’ve been to Abilene. My Aunt Elvira (yes, Elvira) lived there. My immediate family moved to Albuquerque, NM when I was only two, but my mom and I would visit her every year until I was 17. I want to tell you that The Dixie Pig is engraved in my memory as a place that I loved and anticipated every year! I’m not sure what made you pop into my thoughts today, but I want to say Thank You! Do you sell any things with your name on them? Would love to order something. Thanks!
