“My wife and I made a quick trip to Abilene last week. We decided to eat at a place we haven't prior. We decided on BAR-B-QUE but with the condition that it is on our way home. My wife read a couple of reviews and chose Bar-B-Que Barn in Buffalo Gap, Texas. Great little town!! Great BAR-B-QUE!!!! The brisket is very tender, moist and the sauce is slightly tangy and just compliments the brisket, beans and potato salad!!! We loved it. My wife's Chopped beef sandwich was so moist and tender that it just crumbled so delightfully in her mouth!! Also, the sausage was very tender and great taste!!! The atmosphere is small home-town-Texas rustic with multiple original traditional memorabilia: All kinds of hats, both military and general businesses, with the dates and small messages of who's who and territorial allegiances. Multiple news headlines of local, state and US events and history. WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING TO MAKE TIME TO SPEND MORE TIME IN BUFFALO GAP AND EAT AT BAR-B-QUE BARN!!!! 😃👍”

“This is by far the best steakhouse I have ever been to. Maybe a little crazy going to a steak house and ordering a burger but it was the most amazing thing I have ever had. We had a 5pm reservation and the place was already full and bustling with energy the moment we walked in. We had a short wait on the back patio which was absolutely beautiful. Several picnic table areas outside. It's hot in Texas in June but it was shady and not bad at all. We were seated in the main dining area and had a very attentive waitress. Everything was delicious and worth every penny!”

“The fried Mushrooms were excellent with a flavourful breading and paired well with the spicy ranch dressing. The chicken on Mother's grilled chicken sandwich was tender and juicy. Unfortunately, my hamburger steak was over salted. Some sides were standard food service fare, such as the seasoned fries.”
