I visited MixTape in Taylor, Texas on May 6th, 2023.
They just had the grand opening on May 5th, 2023 and it just happened to fall on Cinco de Mayo!!
I had the Pork Belly and the Brussels. The Brussle sprouts had an absolutely unforgettable glaze that rendered an essence of fresh fruit, island spices and fire from the grill! The Pork Belly dish was so tender and bursting with flavor I had to order a second one to take with me!
The staff was wonderful and made me feel comfortable. They paid attention to every detail with ease.
I love the way they have set up the ordering process. You just look over the menu, walk over to the end of the counter where you see a sign that says "ORDER HERE", give them your selection with your phone number and pay. They will text you when your order is ready!! I liked that process...very simple and so innovative!
I will definitely be back next time I am in town!!
