The hush puppies alone are worth making the trip! The service was excellent and very fast; Jen even anticipated that we’d need to-go boxes (the portions are GENEROUS). Both the catfish and shrimp were very tasty, and the fries are some of the best I’ve had.

My husband and I went to dinner while visiting Austin during the Independence Parade. The dinner was great due to the "EXCELLENT " service we received from Marcella. Yes, the food was good but it is a pleasure to have a server with great and friendly attitude. A rarity nowadays.

An Austin institution for sure! Great catfish and their "top secret" hush puppies are an addiction! The service is phenomenal with a super friendly staff. This is a wonderful place to experience, and what a family owned restaurant is all about! The perfect example of pure Texas hospitality!

First, I want to start by saying, "Don't go to a fried catfish restaurant if you don't like fried catfish!" (Yes, there are actually people who complain about this restaurant for doing exactly what it is good at.) Now that we've got that out of the way, I want to tell you how great this place is! The menu is limited to their specialties, but they do them very, very well. The all-you-can-eat sides is a nice feature. The iced tea is far above average. The food is some of the best fried catfish I've ever had outside Louisiana. Don't miss this one ... unless you don't like fried catfish ...

This was the place to be back in the 80s.and 90s. The food is good but not really seasoned for flavor. The fish is cooked well.and they use cornmeal.but the flavor is lacking. I also feel for the meal you are getting the prices are about 5 to 8 dollars overpriced. A good place to go if you want to eat quick and not be crowded out. I eat here 2 to 3 times a year.
