Hunan Lion is a quality restaurant. Wonderful food, and friendly, experienced wait staff provide excellent, knowledgeable service. Good menu selections. The cooks will gladly customize dishes to your liking. Nice atmosphere with tasteful furnishings and two aquariums. Wait staff get to know their repeat customers and greet them by name, tending to and treating them like part of the family. Extremely efficient but unrushed service. Customers feel welcome and appreciated. The wait staff gladly box up leftovers you wish to take home, unlike many restaurants that provide only a do-it-yourself box. Reasonable prices. Takeout and delivery available. I highly recommend Hunan Lion for a pleasurable, relaxed, delicious and enjoyable dining experience.

Fantastic food. Waitress was helpful and attentive. No one hurried us to finish. Our friends thought it one of the best Chinese meals they had ever eaten. All of us will definitely return.

Hunan Lion is always fresh, hot and tasty. My favorite Chinese restaurant in town. I moved north but will drive out of my way to eat there. Staff is so attentive and welcoming.

South Lamar's best Chinese restaurant. It has fast service, reasonable prices, ample portions and tasty food. No buffet, which is a good thing. Lots of free parking. Take out is popular. Lunch menu.
