I’m from Mexico and can confirm this establishment is one of the best places to get Mexican food (not texmex) in Austin! Plus, the fact it also has a bakery makes it extra special since you can get your sweet bread to go at the end of your meal.
Pardon my Espanol but the chicken biscuit thingy was good as heck ????????
Super cool bakery. Most of the sweets come from South of the border. They do have donuts and cookies. They most have hundred different breads and sweets. The best is their rolls. I like to make cheese steaks out of them but they are great for all sandwich needs. Everytime I go in there they is someone buying a dozen of them. They also have deli inside. I never had a chance to try it but it's always packed. If your looking to try something a little different check Mi tradicion.
Need better service. The cake 3 ledges that order did not meet my expectations. It was dry and all the milk was on the carton
This place makes excellent, CORRECT breakfast tacos. It is one of only a handful of restaurants in the area that makes their own tortillas (Joe's bakery being the other that comes to mind). To me, taco restaurant can only truly achieve 5 stars if their tortillas are made in house and the filling is good and this place does both. The bakery is also excellent (the bread pudding is amazing).
