Javi's Best Of Tex Mex

Chicken tortilla soup and pastor tacos were flavorful. I expected more from “Best of Tex Mex” in the name, but I will definitely be back with adjusted expectations. This spot is worth a try for anyone wanting to branch out from their usual go-to place!

Food and service is top notch at Javi's. There are 50+ options for Mexican Cuisine on the Riverside Dr. Circuit of Austin and Javi's leaves them in the dust. Ask if the server, Blanca, is working - you won't regret it. I promise. Also margaritas/ mojitos are fresh made and delicious. Definitely a gem worthy of a visit even if you're not in the neighborhood.

Short stay in a hotel by the airport, this was super close. Great food and friendly service! Mushroom quesadilla was the best. Large size margarita was big enough to let someone else drive back to the hotel.
Green salsa was extra hot. You do have to ask for it, they only bring out the red one with the chips.

Omfg. Been a while since I left a review as its been a while since I've been impressed with a place. Stopped in late on a Sunday morning before heading back to Houston. Choosing this place was partly based on the Yelp reviews and the fact that it was close to our hotel.

We were seated quickly and a drink order taken when the chips and salsa were brought to our table - the first sign that this was going to be good was the amazing salsa. Super fresh and we quickly went through two bowls. My SO got the migs and I ordered steak fajitas. Food came quickly and was equally amazing. We stuffed ourselves and commented to each other multiple times about how fresh everything tasted. Service was attentive without being annoying and everyone was very pleasant.

We got a pint of the salsa to go and added this to our list of "must stop" places when in Austin. Try it!

Pretty good food. Nice fun atmosphere. Service was decent. Reasonably priced. Overall a good experience!
