It's an oddly chill spot. I can't say how I'd classify the food. It's been awhile since I saw Frito pie on a menu. It's good though. Drinks are meh. Nice seating outside with lake view. Can get a little cramped. Pet friendly. Prices are decent.
This was our first time eating here and it was some of the most amazing food I've ever had. The service is top notch and the menu is great and perfectly priced. The view from the patio is gorgeous as well, the overall vibe is just so Austin, it reminds of how it used to be. 100% recommend. Also, the fried pickles were so freaking good!
We went for Easter brunch and Red's, as usual, did not disappoint. For Easter they had a brunch buffet and included some of their most popular brunch items. All were delicious. Dan, our server was great. He was very attentive and helpful. Just an extra, have the biscuits and gravy!!! They were amazing!!!
Visited for the first time Saturday night. We were a very large party. Everyone who ordered food was very pleased! The staff was friendly, had a great sense of humor and very fast. Loved sitting outside with the view of the quarry. I will definitely be going again!
My husband and I live the gluten free life. He has an allergy and I go along with it. We went to Red's for the first time for a Friday Happy Hour after hearing that they have gluten free buns for burgers.
When we arrived, the outside was packed but the inside only had a handful of people. So we sat inside. First mistake was giving us the wine list for happy hour. I had to look on their website, while at the table, to find what cocktails they served.
Second, our service was terrible! The waiter had no sense of urgency, constantly looked passed us with no recognition, then wasn't the one to bring out our food. I had to order my drink through the manager because our waiter was nowhere to be found.
I will say that this is the only place in Austin (that I know of) where I can get a gluten free brisket sandwich. With that said, we will be back eventually.
