Service was excellent! Im normally not a fan of pancakes as I find them too heavy.. but i must say, I was impressed by the Lemon ricotta pancakes! I totally did not need to drown them with butter or syrup because they were already moist and flavorful! The scrambled eggs were seasoned perfectly and the avocado toast was large and plentiful to share between 2 friends. We polished our breakfast off with a refreshing grapefruit chamomile soda!

An incredible "find" combining great food, relaxing service in a surprisingly charming setting. Not in the "bright lights" of the downtown but incredibly close, you will love the genteel feeling of Austin hospitality once you walk through the doors

So good and our server Christine recommendations were fantastic. Thank you. Please offer a chef tasting menu....also dog friendly on the patio, forgot my puppy but saw others.

Very attentive staff. Literally dropped my knife and it was replaced without me even turning around. I could have eaten the steak with a spoon. Paired with a glass of basil Hayden whiskey made me a happy camper. Never happy danced while eating food, but I did today. The evening atmosphere it intimate and rich, but simple. Great way to spend my birthday with complimentary ice cream. Thanks Josephine House.

Outstanding site for delicious american food. Nice location to meet with family. I will be back with my coworkers. Food is like a place in Baltimore I loved.
