Texas Land & Cattle

Attended a conference in Austin, TX. On our way back to the airport to head home my wife and I decided to stop at the Texas Land &Cattle restaurant for something to eat. This restaurant reminded us of the Outback Steakhouse's that are located in Nashville. We were greated at the door and seated almost immediately. Our waiter was extremely helpful and very nice. We ordered the Texas Land & Cattle version of the blooming onion as a appetizer. It was very good steakhouse, the food and service were great. If you make it by the restaurant, we hope your visit is as good as ours.

The service sucked! Wanting to take advantage of the $5 drink specials I asked the waitresses what she recommended as far as drinks. She asked if I like sweet or not sweet. I told her I don't care for sweet drinks. I had already picked out a basil cucumber concoction that was delish at this point. She recommended a strawberry drink. I thought that sound sweet but maybe I'm wrong. I wasn't. It was sweet. On top of that she was no where to be see. She seemed...well not all there. Kind of spacey. Couldn't finish sentences and just annoying. The food was good but service was such a disappointment to say the least! I might just drive on by the next time I'm looking for a decent restaurant.

Our server Lauren went above and beyond needed to make our experience incredible. The food was great but her attention to every detail to make us happy was so refreshing. I have never had such a positive experience. I also appreciate her knowledge of signature drinks. Along with a great meal, great service and awesome drinks, we saw nothing but friendly faces and people having a good time even thou it was a busy Saturday.

Got there later in the day which will always be a bummer to anyone working a closing shift at any restaurant. Despite this staff was exceptionally friendly informative and happy to have us there. Food was amazing. The rib eye steak melts in your mouth. Atmosphere and vibes were awesome. Very please with my experience and will definitely go again.

The staff, the service and the food were great. The entire staff was very accommodating. Charlie, the manager, was very personable and lots of fun. Like my husband, Charlie never knows a stranger, so the two of them really enjoyed each other's company! He made us feel right at home! We were a party of 9 and we all had a great time!
