It's our favorite Tex-Mex spot in South Austin! Margaritas are stellar and atmosphere is low key. Great local spot!

food is great most of the time. had slow service this trip but that is because 1 waiter was assigned to the whole outside. love that i can bring my dog on patio through the dog door. the food this trip was not so good. overkill on the green sauce. weekends have white rice however the rice tasted like fish. the Raspberry marg was phenomenal.

I love Curra's because it is a hidden gem amongst a sea of Tex-Mex in Austin. Curra's is as authentic to actual Mexican cuisine as you can get. I highly recommend the tamales and the avocado margarita. The tamales are the biggest I've seen in Austin, and are always hot, fresh and moist. Their borracha sauce is SO good! This place is always busy, but the service is kind of slow. If you're not in a rush, you'll be fine, but expect to sit for about 7 minutes before anyone asks about your beverage order. Despite this, I still come here regularly. The food is worth it!

Omg that food was truly incredible! And the portions were so large, we each had a meal for the next day. The salsa was fresh and had a.yummy roasted flavor, can't wait to try the salsa sampler next time. 10/10 would recommend!

Seriously love this place! Every time I visit Austin, it’s a must! The avocado margarita is to die for and the salsa is divine. The veggie tacos are great, so fresh and flavorful. The staff is always really nice and friendly. Great service and even better food, what more can you ask for?
