Kerbey Lane Cafe - University

My food was truly excellent. (5 stars for food) I got the breakfast tacos and could barely finish the second one. Mimosas were very refreshing. Amazing sausage, eggs and bacon. It was a little busy, but the service seemed a little slow or uninterested.

Spent $8 on a full stack of blueberry pancakes. The taste wasn't that extraordinary but it did last me for three days of breakfast which is a decent trade-off.

Pretty good service. When I entered, all the seats were completely filled, but a staff took me to the bar, where my order was delivered on time.

Good for midnight cravings, since it's open 24 hours.

Kerbey Lane is an Austin staple that is a bit overrated in my opinion, but that may have been because I ordered the Denver omelette, representing the wrong trendy American city, and it may be my fault. I take full responsibility for my mistake.

Our wait time was plenty long on at weekday lunch hour and the phone kept ringing off the hook and no one ever picked up--they're definitely keeping busy at all times. Staff was nice, food was markedly not anything to write home about.

Still wish they would pay their staff livable wages.

Food is awesome. I think it was a shift change where there were some wet/slick floors on way to bathroom. Boxes stacked heard high behind our table (hallway. There was a pile of swept up floor-trash at the entrance. Other than that, very friendly staff and great food!

Food was great! Big serving sizes, the pancakes are huge. Staff was very friendly. Atmosphere is quite nice. Wait time depends on when you go. Food comes out at a very reasonable time even when it's full of people.
